What is it ?
Oliver Roy is a first and third person psycological horror game for desktop computers. The third-person view is only available when aiming/firing.
It is the year 2026 and the protagonist is a journalist, named Oliver, who wakes up in a prison cellhospital. Oliver doesn’t know what’s happening and where he is, nor what happened to his wife Clara. Oliver was investigating a
new experimental pill that was being administered condemned to death as an alternative to the electric chair. There is probably a connection between Oliver’s investigations into the pill and the conditions he currently is, locked
in a prison.
Oliver will do everything to understand what is happening by discovering the truth, where his wife Clara is and escape from this hell.

New Horror Experience
The smartphone application interfaces with the game to send and receive commands and instructions. Some puzzles can be solved thanks to the application which is also able to send access codes to the doors to the game. The application
represents the smartphone of the protagonist’s wife disappeared who will help him during his adventure. The gamer is directly involved in the game because the latter interacts with your smartphone. This feature is currently
available for Android Smartphone.
Don’t want to use your real smartphone to interact with the game (or your mobile device is not compatible) ? Don’t worry! You can use a Virtual Smartphone directly in game without installing the application.
The view is both first-person and third-person. For most of the game it is first person. It becomes third person (with the camera behind the character at shoulder height) only when the character aims and attacks. The peculiarity is that the first-person camera is more engaging during the normal phases of the game, while the third-person one allows greater control during the aiming and attack phases.
The story mixes psychological elements that are part of the deepest fears of humans with current issues like the death penalty, corporations using people in experiments, and governments supporting these actions. In the midst of all this,
the protagonist’s strong love for his wife shines through, adding a personal touch to the bigger picture. It’s like a puzzle of themes. This complexity shows how our lives are connected in a world where power and money play a big role.
The documents found in the game are of different types, there are documents that represent Oliver’s notebook, his notes, his memories, documents from magazines and newspapers and ‘Tutorial’ documents. The documents, divided by page, guide
the gamer through the various vicissitudes, allowing you to connect all the points of the story until things become clear.
We have spent a lot of time developing an immediate and accessible document system. Documents in Oliver Roy represent a fundamental part of the gameplay and story.
There is no horror game without a good audio department. Unlike many horror games, Oliver Roy, however, is focused on the silence. Silence is part of the gaming experience. The sound of footsteps alone will guide the player towards increasingly claustrophobic locations. However, there will be shortage of music that recalls important or impactful events for the gamer or even moments of calm.
